Hi there!
I’m so glad you’re here! Thank you for joining me as I write about being a new wife and mother, my love of reading and writing, and my desire to understand and live out Biblical femininity. There will likely be some travel, cooking, and knitting posts in there along the way as I strive to glorify God in ordinary life.
Originally from Kansas City, Kansas, I moved to Chattanooga in August 2020 to be with my now husband, Tucker. We married in March 2022, moved to Lookout Mountain, and have been loving the sweet community the Lord has blessed us with, both in our church and on the mountain.
We welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Amelia, a few weeks before Christmas 2023. While parenthood is a new journey for us both, Tucker and I both couldn’t be more grateful for the joyous blessing our little girl has been. (She’s also just so darn cute!)
As a new stay-at-home mom, much of my days are spent cooking, cleaning, and caring for our newborn. Before my wonderful life as a wife and mother, I spent much of my adult life in the fields of writing, editing, administrative work, and event planning. I still freelance write, edit, event coordinate, and administrative assist on the side. In 2024, I decided to relaunch my blog as a more structured outlet for writing and creativity.
I hope you stick around and join me - don’t be a stranger! :)

“We are women, and my plea is Let me be a woman, holy through and through, asking for nothing but what God wants to give me, receiving with both hands and with all my heart whatever that is.”
— Elisabeth Elliot
A little more about me
My Current Obsession
Toward the end of my pregnancy, I was actively searching for easy distractions - something that would keep my mind and hands semi-occupied without exerting too much effort.
My mother in law bought me a needlepoint ornament kit and I’ve fallen in love! I’m not sure how long I’ll be in love, it’s fun for now!
My Favorite Book(s)
As most avid readers may attest, my favorite book changes often. It used to be The Morning Watch by James Agee - a brilliant meditation on the resurrection of Christ told from the perspective of a twelve-year-old boy struggling with his own depravity.
Recently though, I read Let Me Be a Woman by Elisabeth Elliott and I think Agee’s been dethroned in this season of my life as a new wife and mother.
My Favorite Brunch Spot
It’s no secret that brunch is my favorite meal of the day and luckily, Chattanooga is a haven for fabulous brunch spots.
My husbands’ and my favorite at the moment is Bluegrass Grill on Main Street. With the new baby (and the new budget), we don’t get to go often, but each time is sweeter than the last.

Our Story - A Brunch Wedding
Today is our first anniversary as a married couple, so I’m reminiscing about our beautiful brunch wedding this time last year. If we had a theme, it was “brief, brunch, and blueberries.” Read about our special day!

A Day in the Life - The Time I Set the House on Fire...Again
I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I do know one thing: I’m thankful for a calm and collected husband. This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve set the house on fire, and he’s just as patient and composed as the first time, if not more so since this seems to be a pattern.

“If one has to choose between reading the new books and reading the old, one must choose the old: not because they are necessarily better but because they contain precisely those truths of which our own age is neglectful.”
— C.S. Lewis

My Virtual Bookshelf
Every year, I give myself a reading goal! With getting married and having a baby, I’ve not met that goal for the last few years. Rather than being discouraged, I’m eager to jump back into a reasonable goal for 2024!
Check out what I’m reading right now!

I’m an external processor, so I blog to help myself think and to practice my craft. Therefore, I blog about anything and everything.
